With modern Pick-by-Tablet method, robust and mobile tablets are used. Both connection to the local WiFi network and the use of additional Bluetooth devices are possible without any problems. Scanners, RFID readers, and small printers can be integrated. The tablets are usually mounted on picking trolleys or forklifts and connected to the LUCA-Server . They also successfully replace the old forklift terminals.
How robust does Pick-by-Tablet ?
Tablets in use withpicking systems. We use various hardware models for our Pick-by-Tablet. Which devices are best suited for this purpose depends largely on the application. Not every application requires an expensive and robust design. Sometimes the tablets are simply mounted permanently on the picking trolley or forklift and are not exposed to mechanical stress. If the devices need to be carried, they should be very robust. In this case, every impact must be well absorbed. We adapt the hardware optimally to the application.

Our software is reduced to a minimum on the tablet. The process logicLUCA-Server mapped on theLUCA-Server . In this case, the tablet only displays information and transmits user input. On the other hand, complex processes and database access are only carried out via theLUCA-Server. The tablet software also supports the connection of various input devices such as scanners, label printers, etc.
