How durable does Pick-by-Tablet ?
Tablets in use withpicking systems. We use various hardware models for our Pick-by-Tablet. Exactly which devices are best suited for this depends heavily on the specific application. Not every application requires the expensive, ruggedized version. Sometimes the tablets are simply mounted permanently on the picking cart or forklift and are not exposed to mechanical stress. If the devices need to be carried, they must be built to be very robust. In that case, every impact must be well absorbed. We tailor the hardware optimally to the specific application.
Software
Our software is kept to a minimum on the tablet. The process logicLUCA-Server handled by theLUCA-Server . In this case, the tablet is responsible only for displaying information and transmitting user input. On the other hand, complex process flows and database access occur exclusively via theLUCA-Server. The tablet software also supports the connection of various input devices such as scanners, label printers, etc.
