Pick by Cart

Pick by Cart supports the Multi-Order-Pickingmethod excellently. On a picking trolley with the help of a paper slip, picking is not very efficient and error-prone. To support the picking, sequencing and distribution of the articles, displays, WiFi and rechargeable batteries are mounted directly on the picking trolley Pick by Lightand support the process.

Multi-Order-Picking

The simultaneous picking of several orders on one picking trolley significantly accelerates the process. The route-optimised control system enables the completion of the complete order picking trolley in a single pass. Commissioning itself does not pose a problem in principle. The problem is the correct and fast distribution of the articles to several order trays. Here is a pick slip, pick by scan or even pick by voice overtaxed. Other picking systems are not optimal either. The Pick-by-Cart or Pick-by-Frame® is used to ensure efficient use.

Difference between Pick-by-Cart and Frame® ?

The two methods hardly differ from the process. The serious difference lies in the distribution of the work steps in the warehouse.

The Pick-by-Cart with permanently mounted Pick-by-Light displays is used when an employee always keeps his car at work and carries out the complete process himself, from preparation, picking and packing. In the case of Pick-by-Cart, the number of pickers and the number of picking carts in the warehouse are the same.

The Pick-by-Frame® is used when several employees are involved in preparation, picking and packing. The Pick-by-Frame® is only used for picking. The supporting technology with Pick-by-Light, Wifi and batteries is mounted on a separately moving frame and "docked" to a car. The trolley and the frame are registered and controlled to the order management system via scanner or RFID. The preparation and packing is carried out by other employees without a frame. The order picker always keeps his frame and the marked order picking cart is passed on. With Pick-by-Frame®, the same picking cart can also be processed by several employees in different aisles or floors. With Pick-by-Frame®, the number of frames and order pickers is the same. The number of frames to the picking trolleys should be > 1:2.

The process

With Pick-by-Cart only docking on the picking trolley is not necessary. Otherwise, the process is the same with Pick-by-Frame®.
