Pick-by-Light Module: PTF-EP-1

PTF-EP-1
5.7 inches x 2 inches
The EP-2 specialist display is equipped with an electronic paper display. In addition to the ability to display multiple lines of text or numbers, its main feature is the display of barcodes and QR codes. One particular advantage is the rapid updating of the information displayed. It is rarely used in pick-by-light systems.
The EP-1 indicator has a graphic, black-and-white EP display that can show barcodes and QR codes. It comes standard with an oval, horizontally divided eye-catching light that can display seven possible colors per half (e.g., for two pickers working simultaneously or as a directional function). The four buttons available, which come in different variants or button designs such as long-stroke buttons or buttons under the front foil, can be used for acknowledgment or other functions in the Pick by Light system.
You can find out more about the pick-by-light system in the main article on light-assisted picking.
It can be used for pick-by-light applications, where the picker removes items from an illuminated compartment, or for put-to-light applications, where the picker places items into an illuminated compartment.
Why different system names?
pick-by-light
Pick-by-Light refers to a visual picking system in which electronic compartment displays directly on the storage compartment indicate the quantities to be removed.
The removal is usually confirmed by pressing a button on the display.
pick-to-light
Pick-to-Light is a complementary system line within the LUCA picking system.
It comprises several display series with different designs and main areas of application and is used for both classic picking and multi-stage picking and distribution processes.
put-to-light
Put-to-light describes a method of paperless goods distribution in which items are placed in specific target compartments, for example when replenishing flow racks.
