Product description
The Pick-by-Light (Pick-to-Light) compartment indicator has a very narrow design and no display. It does not have a mechanical acknowledgment button and is used in the standard version in a Pick-by-Light system for applications where no quantities and no direct acknowledgment on the display are required. This compartment indicator only signals the removal compartment (e.g., single item in the automotive industry).
With the standard version of the PTF-L-7, picking confirmation is usually carried out via a barcode scanner, RFID reader, PC, etc. This compartment display can also be used for C-itemsin combination with a central display in the pick-by-light system. In this case, all C compartments of a shelf block are equipped with this pick-by-light display. In addition, acentral displaywith a quantity display and confirmation button is mounted on the C shelf block. Removal from the C shelf then takes place sequentially.
The L-7 directly displays the removal compartment and the central display shows the requirednumber of items andis also used for removal confirmation. Shortage corrections, inventories, and zero passes can also be handled via the central display. The L-7 without a sensor can also be used as a target display in sorting processes (put-to-light), whereby the delivery to the compartment is controlled by a scanner or Pick-Radar .
You can find out more about the pick-by-light system in the main article on light-assisted picking.
Buy
The display can only be purchased as part of a complete pick-by-light system. Individual items are not sold separately. For existing customers, we also supply it as a spare part.
Why different system names?
pick-by-light
Pick-by-Light refers to a visual picking system in which electronic compartment displays directly on the storage compartment indicate the quantities to be removed.
The removal is usually confirmed by pressing a button on the display.
pick-to-light
Pick-to-Light is a complementary system line within the LUCA picking system.
It comprises several display series with different designs and main areas of application and is used for both classic picking and multi-stage picking and distribution processes.
put-to-light
Put-to-light describes a method of paperless goods distribution in which items are placed in specific target compartments, for example when replenishing flow racks.
