Pick-by-Light Module: PTF-3N-1

PTF-3N-1
130 mm x 50 mm
* replaced by PTF-3N-4
For many years, this has been the most commonly used standard compartment display for picking small quantities in a pick-by-light system. The three-digit 7-segment display can clearly show quantities up to 999 and some special characters, such as A, H, P, U, etc. The compartment display itself has been replaced in the system by the successor model PTF-3N-4.
In a standard process after order activation via a scanner, HOST system, or conveyor technology, the compartment displays light up with the corresponding withdrawal quantities. The powerful LED signals the withdrawal from a long distance. The withdrawal is confirmed with the acknowledgment button. The +/- buttons can be used to correct shortfalls and carry out inventory checks.

Why different system names?
pick-by-light
The pick-by-light method is a classic picking method that uses compartment displays. The pick-by-light display shows the quantity to be picked directly at the storage compartment. The pick-by-light system usually receives confirmation of the pick by pressing a button on the module.
pick-to-light
The term is often used in English-speaking countries instead of pick-by-light. The pick-to-light method is a Multi-Order-Picking that focuses on distributing items that have just been picked to different orders. The method is typically used with a picking cart (Pick-by-Cart).
put-to-light
The put-to-light method clearly defines the distribution of goods to the target compartments. A classic example of this is replenishment in a flow rack.
