This display variant with sensor technology enables the monitoring of the intervention directly at the storage compartment, for example large load carriers. The module has no display, but is additionally equipped with a mechanical acknowledgement button.
With the L-5, the removal acknowledgement is normally done via a Pick-to-Light sensor. The detection range (sideways and downwards) can be specifically adjusted to the application via parameters. Alternatively, in certain applications, it is possible to confirm the removal via the mechanical acknowledgement button in the system.

It should be noted, however, that a quantity display itself is only possible by means of an additional information display. In addition, the F-key offers the possibility to store functions (example: colour change).
Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
