The special display, also known as the zone controller, has special tasks in the Pick-to-Light. It is equipped with a numeric keypad and three freely assignable buttons and an external interface for direct connection of RS232 or RS485 devices (e.g. scanners).

The illuminated LCD text display (max. 4 lines of 20 characters each) can be used freely and is itself controlled by the LUCA-Server . It is often used as a central display in a picking zone, where the current order is displayed. It can be used with the Pick-by-Cart or Pick-by-Frame® systems, where the next storage location (route-optimized) is displayed.

Various entries, such as the user ID, minimum quantities, inventory quantities, etc. can be entered via the keypad. The three freely programmable keys themselves can be used as dialog keys (e.g. yes/no/cancel) or as function keys (e.g. start/stop/end). The display can be used completely freely in the desired process and is controlled by the LUCA-Server on a customer-specific basis if required.
