Pick-to-Light is a system with electronic displays on storage compartments and is used for picking, sequencing and packing of articles. Each display is connected to the controller via a BUS, has several LEDs, buttons and a data display. Access sensors are optionally available.

In a dispatch warehouse, the Pick-to-Light is mostly used for picking the A or B items. This fast picking method brings enormous advantages for performance and quality. The use of a conveyor system with a material flow system optimizes the overall system even further.
After activating the order, the appropriate displays light up. The strong LED signals the position from a great distance. The displays show the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The Order picker confirms the removal directly at the storage compartment.
If the stock in the storage compartment does not fit, the employee can enter a message for a shortage directly on the display.
In addition to picking, the Pick-to-Light system is also used very successfully to support replenishment. Simple Put-to-Light displays are mounted on the individual supply channels in a rack. When replenishment orders are activated, the corresponding display lights up. The picker is guided directly to the correct storage compartment.
