This compartment display is a module with an alphanumeric display. The four-digit display itself is particularly suitable for displaying further employee information or for operator guidance in the system.
According to customer requirements, this display variant is used in process sequences where alphanumeric display is required. This could include product properties, container units and process steps. After order activation via a scanner, HOST system or conveyor system, the display lights up.

Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
