In addition to the standard functions, this Pick by Light compartment display has a display with a four-digit numerical quantity display and a DUAL LED (2×7 colours). Depending on the required process flow, it is possible to use this display to indicate a target compartment on a tray or picking cart. It can be combined as a system with other components in a Pick by Light plant.
Depending on the picking process itself and the required quantities, this compartment display variant is used. The maximum number of items that can be displayed is 9999. Of course, it is possible to display container quantities using preceding characters (such as A, H, P, U).

Alternatively, target compartments (orders) on a picking cart could be displayed on this compartment display during the Multi-Order-Pickingprocess. Furthermore, additional functions (such as minimum quantity correction or zero-crossing control) can be activated via the +/- keys or F key.
Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
