Pick-to-Light Module: PTF-6A-1

This display type is a Pick by Light module with an alphanumeric display. Compared to the four-digit PTF-4A-1, two additional characters are available here. The six-digit display is also suitable for displaying further staff information or for operator guidance at picking stations.
This compartment display variant is used in process flows in which alphanumeric display is required. This even includes the product properties, container units and process steps. After order activation via a scanner, HOST system or conveyor system, the compartment displays light up with the corresponding removal quantities and, if necessary, employee information.

The removal is confirmed with the acknowledgement button. The +/- buttons can be used to correct shortfalls in quantity and to carry out inventory. Various individual functions can be triggered via the function button. The information displayed and the process on the compartment display are LUCA-Server controlled by the button and can be individually configured.
Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
