Within the PTF-S Pick by Light series, this compartment display offers you a graphic display for showing several lines in different font sizes. In addition to the pick quantity, an article number or a short description can be displayed, for example. In addition, this display also has a dual LED, which can display 2 x 7 colours in the system.
The PTF-SOL-1 is a compartment display with horizontally split oval dual LED for displaying 2 x 7 colours (e.g. for simultaneous work of two pickers or as directional function), correction keys, graphic OLED display and acknowledgement key.

The +/- keys themselves can be used to correct the displayed quantity. Due to its compact design, the component is particularly suitable for picking small parts, at assembly workstations or in narrow shelf systems.
Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
