What are handling costs?
In logistics, handling costs are not only logistics costs (warehousing costs), but also include all costs incurred in processes in which goods or finished products are moved via means of transportation.
The most important handling costs include Costs for personnel, vehicles, conveyors, means of transportation, transportation equipment, transportation costs, packaging materials, packaging equipment and other material costs for moving the goods. Ancillary costs, which can only be partially allocated to handling costs, include Costs of machinery in the workshop, lifting platforms, cleaning costs, personnel costs of the repair workshop.
