Pick-to-Light Module: PTF-OL-1

PTF-OL-1 Pick-to-Light with OLED display

PTF-OL-1

145 mm x 50 mm

The new Pick by Light module PTF-OL-1 brings even the graphic display up to the latest technical standard. The OL-1 display has a larger, modern graphic display with OLED technology, which ensures a pin-sharp presentation of process-relevant information. The entire Pick by Light system is now even more attractive.

The abbreviation OLED stands for "Organic Light Emitting Diode" (organic LED), which, in contrast to LCD panels, consumes less energy and does not require external backlighting. Sharper contrasts and thus optimum visibility of the displayed information from every angle ensure greater reliability in error-free picking processes. Furthermore, the module is equipped with the proven features. The oval two-part eye-catching lamp (2×7 colours) allows two order pickers to work in the same zone and the graphic Pick by Light display can be used to show additional information, such as article numbers or short descriptions in several lines and different font sizes.

Optionally, the PTF-OL-1 module can be equipped with additional options. These include acknowledgement via LTouch (light touch of the eye-catching lamp) or completely contactless acknowledgement via sensor (QRS motion sensor). A special highlight is an external input (available as an option) for connecting buttons or signal heads directly to the Pick-to-Light module. This can be used to query fill levels, receive status messages from the conveyor system or integrate external acknowledgement signals.

Why different names?

Pick by Light

With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.

pick to light

The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.

Put to Light

The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
