Pick-to-Light Module: PTF-12A-1

PTF-12A-1
256 mm x 50 mm
As a predecessor model to the PTF-12M-1 variant, this display module is mainly used in running Pick by Light systems as an info display to show a storage location, batch or article number and, if necessary, zero-crossing check or quantity display.
The twelve-digit display itself is also suitable for displaying additional employee information or for operator guidance. This variant is used in process sequences in which alphanumeric display is required. This includes, for example, product properties, batch/article numbers and process steps. After order activation via a scanner, HOST system or conveyor system, the compartment displays light up with the corresponding removal quantities and, if necessary, employee information.

The removal itself is confirmed with the acknowledgement button. Various individual functions can be triggered via the function button. The information displayed and the process at the compartment display are LUCA-Server controlled by the button and can be individually designed.
Why different names?
Pick by Light
With the method Pick by Light is about classic picking with the help of Pick by Light displays. Here the Pick by Light display shows the withdrawal quantity directly at the storage compartment. The system receives the acknowledgement of the withdrawal mostly by pressing a key on the module.
pick to light
The term is often misused and therefore often Pick by Light confused with. The Pick to Light method is a Multi-Order-Picking method that focuses on distributing articles that have just been picked to different orders. The method is used classically in a Pick by Cart system.
Put to Light
The Put to Light method clearly defines a distribution of goods to the target compartments. As a classic example, the replenishment in a flow rack (German: Durchlaufkanal) can be mentioned here.
